ROBOGAIT

Robogait® is a robot assisted walking rehabilitation system used to regain and develop walking ability in situations of loss of walking ability caused by traumatic brain and spine injuries, strokes, neurological or orthopaedic causes. 

Fundamental approach in the treatment is the movement of unfunctional lower extremities in normal walking pattern and performance of load transfer in a controlled way. A combined treatment is aimed with activation of neuronal road and walking performed with the control of robotic system.

The Robogait is a fixed lower body hip-knee exoskeleton.  The user’s weight is supported by a combination of an overhead attached harness and the support from the exoskeleton.The RoboGait can be used by adults as well as children.  The exoskeleton frame can be adjusted to meet pediatric rehabilitation needs.

Developed by the Turkish company BAMA Technology, the products facilitate gait therapy and offer a beneficial therapy setting for patients recovering from diseases and conditions that cause gait disorders.
